How to Factory Reset Your HP Laptop: A Step-by-Step Guide

Method 1

: Resetting Through Windows Settings

Access Settings:

Clicking on the Start button and then choosing the gear icon opens up settings.

Navigate to Update & Security:

In the settings window, select update and security.

Choose Recovery:

Find and click on recovery tab in left-hand part of the window.

Initiate Reset:

Go ahead and press Get started under reset this PC item.

Select Reset Options:

You can either choose “Keep my files” (this removes apps and settings but keeps personal files) or “Remove everything” (it erases every other thing).

Decide whether to keep Windows installed or reinstall it.
